Joe Allard, was a famous saxophone and clarinet professor at Juilliard, The New England Conservatory and The Manhattan School of Music. Some of his most famous students were: Michael Brecker, Eddie Daniels, Bob Berg, Dave Liebman, Paul Winter, Steve Grossman, Kenneth Radnofsky, Bill Pierce and many others. Interesting (and lengthy) articles about Joe Allard as a teacher, performer and reed guru are available online. These rhythmical studies are also available in individual editions for B Flat, Key of of C, Bass Clef and Drums. If you are not already familiar with his book, “Three Octave Scales and Chords”, you may well want to check it out, too.
